Cleaning Coach Releases First-Ever E-Book for Green Cleaning

With The Joy of Green Cleaning, Cleaning Can Be Fun (and Cost Effective)

UXBRIDGE, MA – December 29 -- Blackstone Valley author and presenter Leslie Reichert has introduced her new book, The Joy of Green Cleaning, to an audience demanding green cleaning products. Reichert has taken green to a new level with her book by creating it as an E-book. You can download this collection of recipes and keep them at your fingertips without using any paper products! Leslie has created a specific web site where you can see a sample of the book and either download the e-version ($10) or order a hard copy of the book ($15.95). The site is www.thejoyofgreencleaning.com.

The Joy of Green Cleaning is the first e-recipe book for green cleaning. Reichert created and tested simple yet proven recipes for people who want to “go green” using low cost items such as lemon, salt and baking soda. “I created this book because I saw, firsthand, what harsh chemicals found in most cleaners can do,” says Reichert. “My cleaning recipes are non-toxic and they use ingredients from your pantry—not from the cabinet under the sink. And they really do work.”

One recipe in the book calls for mixing mayonnaise and olive oil to use as a wood cleaner and polish. The Joy of Green Cleaning also provides information on where to locate hard-to-find products recommended in green cleaning recipes. “It can be very frustrating to try to find some of the products, so I created a list of where to buy them,” says Reichert. “More people today are dealing with sensitivities to cleaning products and the only real way to fight back is to know what is in your cleaners.”

Reichert, a Northbridge resident and owner of the retail store The Back Door in Uxbridge, holds workshops on how to create green cleaning products from her book using only things found in a kitchen pantry. She demonstrates for conferences and workshops all over the country. Reichert usually creates three separate cleaning products from her collection of recipes - one of which includes mixing soap flakes, Borax, and washing soda to recreate the laundry soap recipe her great-grandmother used to clean her family’s clothes over 100 years ago.
